As a child, Susan was an avid reader. There were not enough hours in the day to allow her to read the number of books she would have at hand. When her brother thought she was ready, he introduced her to Cold Fire by Dean Koontz and her passion for words was doused by the gasoline in Dean’s books. The embers of her creativity sparked and caught fire. She knew she needed to write a book.

Her first novel had a longer gestation period than that of a typical story, but once the first book was born into the world, the others in the series were eager to introduce themselves.

The first five books in The Relative Series - The Waking Hours, One Eleven, Darkroom, Root Cellar, and Gemini, are available on Amazon. The series chronicles the Beckett family and the lives they have touched, and sometimes destroyed, as the books delve into the twisted history of a generational family of serial killers.

The fire in her mind has turned into a raging inferno and the voices in her head drown out much of the reality she once knew. She is a writer, compelled to listen to those voices, and she has many stories to tell.
