Book Five of the RELATIVE Series

When scientific advancements in DNA analysis emerge in the late 1980’s, Matthew Singer willingly submits his saliva to the forensics database of the Toronto Police with the hope of eventually finding information about his birth family. To his surprise, his DNA is a match to samples taken from several robberies the Toronto Police are currently investigating. His alibis prove his innocence, but his mind becomes consumed by the fact there is an exact match to his genetic code, which convinces him he has an identical twin.

When the Toronto robberies escalate to murder, Matthew is shaken, and the DNA samples taken from the scene once again point to him. Sitting through his Cognitive Science classes at McGill University in Montreal, Matthew is consumed by more questions. Wanting to immerse himself in the investigative process, Matthew forges a friendship with a young detective, Carrick Doyle, who gives him access to previous case files, and Matthew is invited to watch the Toronto Police work the latest crime scene.

Sharing his talent for forensic analysis with the Toronto Police, Matthew’s insight sends the city’s law enforcement in a new direction, giving the investigating team a new perspective on the case, and eventually bringing Matthew face to face with his identical twin.
